Caterpillars was founded in late 2018 by Gemma Dalfsen, a mum of two, who has lived in Fords Farm almost her entire life. The vision for all Caterpillars settings is for children to have freedom of choice, learn through play and be part of our preschool family; we will look after your children with all the love and respect as if they were our own. To find out more about how we started, click here.

Kindness, independence, respect and care is the heart of our ethos

Nurture, Grow, Fly

During each session children have access to our dedicated and secure outside area, along with a wide variety of resources, toys and activities designed by our expert team and cross referenced with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to ensure they are meeting their development goals in a fun and interactive way.

In April 2023 we expanded by signing the lease for a building in Beenham to open our first day nursery. After many, many weeks of cleaning and decorating we are set to host our open day brunch on Sunday 11th June 10:00-12:30.
