For now, we’re pleased to share how we started for a glimpse into who we are, while we work on bringing you a fuller picture of life at Caterpillars. Caterpillars was founded in late 2018 by Gemma Dalfsen, a mum of two, who has lived in Fords Farm almost her entire life. The vision for all Caterpillars settings is for children to have freedom of choice, learn through play and be part of our preschool family; we will look after your children with all the love and respect as if they were our own.

During each session children have access to our dedicated and secure outside area, along with a wide variety of resources, toys and activities designed by our expert team and cross referenced with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to ensure they are meeting their development goals in a fun and interactive way.
